The collection contains an article about University of Virginia leaders attending a "Good Will Dinner" at the Monticello Hotel hosted by local civic clubs, 1937. The collection also contains a copy of an 1814 letter from Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Walter Jones on the character of George Washington, 1942. The collection also contains a clipping of a photograph of John Lloyd Newcomb and James Southall Wilson inspecting the newly purchased portrait of Thomas Jefferson painted by Bass Otis in 1819, undated. The collection also contains a clipping of a 1940s photograph of the Rucker Home for Children, later the site of the Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center, circa 2007.
